Description
This work was inspired by the "IN-MOTION: Art of the Space Age" exhibition at the Rupert Gallery. Bold colours, strong black and white patterns and geometric shapes were prevalent in the exhibits by Victor Vasarely and Giovanni Pizzo, among others.Materials - Cotton fabrics are machine pieced and fused and matchstick quilting helps to integrate the shapes into a cohesive whole. The piece represents a step in my journey from representational to abstraction. Back to the exhibition
