Wall Veil Holder

Wall Veil Holder
Jean Powell

Title: Wall Veil Holder

Description: By training I am a textile and design orientated Fine Artist, who has a complete fascination for all types and varieties of textiles.

This piece has been designed, printed and embellished by me using screens and fingers.

The way it is presented is to have it displayed as a wall piece, and the veil is also usable.

The veil (scarf) may be pulled out, it is at the moment attached by a beaded retainer. But if you own it, it obviously doesn’t need the restraint. It can be stored in its lair by giving it a slight twist, as with a ponytail, and pushing it back into its hole. You may leave as much as you like protruding for show in the front, but suggest as little as possible for surprise – a revelation.

The veil and its holder make up the art work. Contrast, soft and hard, plain and multi layered and delicate. The revelation is an act of yours.

Dimensions: 25cm X 25cm

Materials: Designed, printed and embellished by the artist on a silk base.
