Title: Aftermath

Description: Ingrid, who lives on a small holding outside of Grahamstown, in the Eastern Cape, only discovered the world of textile art when she turned seventy. Since then, it has become her passion and full time occupation. Her work explores a variety of themes related to her eventful life, but uppermost in her mind are the issues of war and the environment.

Description: This fibre art book tells the story of her flight on foot at the end of world war two. It is aimed at raising awareness of the perils of war, and its aftermath. The following seven images all relate to the book

On a lighter note, a follow up book is underway. Both give one insight into life in post war Germany (1945).
