Description: From the collection of Confessions of a Bored Housewife, this series of &qotfantasy furniture&qot is created out of ennui. The series focusses on absence in relationships and the effects of being home alone.

Title: Black Beauty 1 (2013)

Description: The sculpture is reminiscent of the Burj Khalifa building in Dubai and represents the growth and prosperity of the UAE. The focus is on the women of the country and how they contribute to its success.

Title: Capture (2015)

Description: From the Mangroves from the Water collection, this sculpture is a bowl from machine embroidered thread. The work deals with protection of the local mangroves and here the delicate bowl&qots futile attempt at capturing water depicts the struggle.

Title: Mangroves from the Sky (2020)

Description: This work represents a bird's eye view of the mangroves in Umm Al Quwain (UAE). Taken from Google Maps, the natural landscape is translated through labour intensive hand stitching - evoking the love for the environment and the hard work in protecting it.

Title: Memories of the beach (2019

Description: The scattered pieces of small soft sculptures represent snippets of memories of the perfect day on the beach - the breeze, waves, water, coral and shells. The fragmented memory is an ecological warning for ocean protection.

Description: Open to commissions for portraits of loved-ones.
