Description
After a happy 20 years of marriage (colorful bouquet of flowers and sunshine) my husband crashed with his microlight.This shocking event (the dark side on the left with the shattered moon and bouquet) influenced me to the core for many many years. In this artwork I portrayed us in a shattered vase (weduwee se kruik). After 19 years on this path I wanted to capture the warm love between us and then made this difficult artwork...The passage of healing was very slow and painful... It took a long time before new growth presented itself - portrayed as the new branch growing from my head to from a new passage with all my children and grandchildren. Back to the exhibition
